BSII

BrightSource Industries (Israel) Ltd. ("BSII"), formerly known as Luz II Ltd., headquartered in Jerusalem, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BrightSource Energy. The BSII team provides product development and engineering services, and supplies the solar fields, including heliostats, solar boilers, and control systems for all of BrightSource Energy's projects.

BrightSource Industries (Israel) and Dalkia, the energy division of Veolia group in Israel, have passed the pre-qualification stage in the BOT (Build, Operate and Transfer) tender for the construction of solar thermal plants in Ashalim, Israel.

ברייט-סורס תעשיות (ישראל) בע"מ וחברת דלקיה, חטיבת האנרגיה של קבוצת ויאוליה בישראל, עברו בהצלחה את תנאי הסף למכרז בשיטת ה-BOT (בנייה, הפעלה והעברה) להקמת תחנות כוח סולאריות תרמיות באשלים שבנגב.

History

BSII has been pioneering solar thermal energy for nearly three decades. As Luz International Ltd. (“Luz”), the BSII team built the world’s first commercially viable solar thermal plants – 354 megawatts in California’s Mojave that are still running today and represent nearly 90 percent of the U.S. solar thermal power production.

BSII הינה חלוצה בתחום האנרגיה הסולארית-תרמית במשך קרוב לשלושים שנה. במסגרת חברת לוז אינטרנשיונל בע"מ (לוז) בנה צוות BSII את התחנות הסולאריות-תרמיות המסחריות הראשונות בהספק כולל של 354 מגוואט באזור מוהאבי שבקליפורניה. התחנות פועלות עד היום ומהוות קרוב ל-90% מן ההספק המותקן של תחנות סולאריות-תרמיות בארה"ב.
